Dr. Wen Li Wang

Biography

Wen-Li Wang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Penn State Behrend. He holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from National Chengchi University, Taiwan, and both an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Albany. His research specialization is in software engineering, particularly in software reliability modeling and architectural design. He has studied swarm intelligence and worked on discrete reliability modeling applicable to heterogeneous architecture domains, particularly in web systems. In addition to his research, Dr. Wang has extensive teaching experience, focusing on creating an engaging classroom environment and developing innovative teaching methods. He actively involves students in research, guiding them through projects that enhance their practical skills and confidence. Throughout his career, Dr. Wang has pursued collaboration opportunities, leading to published papers and contributions to notable conferences. He is also committed to service within the academic community and has held various roles in committee work, aiming to improve program accreditation and educational outcomes. His future goals include expanding his research collaborations and exploring new directions in software engineering.
