Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Wen Song. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Wen Song is an Associate Professor in the Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. He holds the Anadarko Petroleum Corporation Centennial Fellowship #1 and focuses on critical research areas in petroleum engineering, including critical minerals recovery, fluid-rock interactions, geologic carbon storage, and micro/nanofluidics. His research aims to elucidate micro/nanoscale reactive transport processes in porous geomaterials and their roles in energy and environmental resource management. He has developed unique operando visualization platforms for imaging dynamic fluid-solid interactions at interfacial, pore, and pore-ensemble scales. Wen has received numerous honors, including the NSF CAREER Award and the Society of Petroleum Engineers Regional Reservoir Description Dynamics Award. He has published extensively in reputable journals and is actively involved in teaching courses such as Small-Scale Fluid Flow and Primary Recovery Research.
