Biography

Wenchao Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Boston University, where he also directs the Dependable Computing Laboratory. Prior to joining Boston University, he was a Computer Scientist at the Computer Science Laboratory at SRI International in Menlo Park. He holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, as well as a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests revolve around dependable computing, with a current focus on applying computational proof methods and machine learning techniques to address problems in cyber-physical systems, electronic design automation, and artificial intelligence safety. Throughout his academic career, he has been recognized with various awards, including the ACM Outstanding PhD Dissertation Award and the Leon O. Chua Award for outstanding achievement in nonlinear science.
