Biography

Wendy J. Bernstein is a Senior Community Psychiatrist and Medical Director of Project ECHO Telemedicine Severe Mental Illness Track, focusing on supporting mental health survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She has served as Associate Medical Director at Casa del Sol, a specialty mental health clinic, and has extensive experience from her previous roles at Kaiser Permanente and Contra Costa County Older Adults Clinics. Bernstein is a graduate of McGill University Faculty of Medicine in Montreal, Canada, and completed her residency in Psychiatry at Boston University. Her research interests include global health, community mental health, support for Latinx underserved populations, women’s health, and elder care.
