Biography

Wendy Law is an Instructional Associate Professor and Head of Collection Development at the Dee J. Kelly Law Library at Texas A&M University School of Law. She earned her J.D. cum laude from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and holds a Master’s degree in Information Library Studies from the University of Michigan, along with a Bachelor’s degree in English. With a deep passion for books and learning, Law has dedicated her career to academia, transitioning from attorney aspirations to becoming an academic law librarian. Her teaching experience includes one-on-one instruction for law students at the Reference Desk, emphasizing legal research methods and access to a myriad of legal resources including statutes, regulations, and case law. Law's current research interests focus on legal research, legal history, and issues pertinent to law librarianship. She finds fulfillment in helping students grow into proficient legal researchers, preparing them for their future careers. Outside of her academic pursuits, Law has diverse interests in family, animals, movies, and Michigan football, and enjoys reading sci-fi and fantasy novels. She is also a fan of Star Trek and comics, embodying her lifelong love for learning.
