Biography

Wenjing Sun joined the Dynamics Group as a Lecturer in 2024, specializing in railway dynamics and noise. Her research focuses on addressing challenges related to vibration, noise, and fatigue in railway transportation systems through modeling, experimentation, and artificial intelligence technology. She earned her PhD and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher, Lecturer, and Associate Professor at Tongji University in China, starting in 2014. Her expertise includes rolling noise, interior noise in railway vehicles, railway vehicle dynamics, and indirect measurement of rail wheel roughness using AI technology. Additionally, she is involved in the QuieterRail project and teaches undergraduate and masters courses in Railway Engineering & Operations, Mechanics, Machines Vibration, Acoustical Engineering Design, and Electronics Control.
