Biography

Wenke Lee received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University in 1999. He specializes in systems and network security and has been engaged in various research projects including botnet detection and attribution, malware analysis, virtual machine monitoring, mobile phone security, and detection and mitigation of information manipulation on the Internet. His work has received funding from multiple agencies such as the National Science Foundation, Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Defense, as well as industry partnerships. Lee has published over 100 articles, with more than 40 of them being widely cited. In 2006, he co-founded Damballa, Inc., a spin-off lab focusing on botnet detection and mitigation.
