Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Wenting Sun. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Wenting Sun received B.E. and M.E. degrees from Tsinghua University, Beijing in 2005 and 2007 respectively, and a Ph.D. from Princeton University in 2013. He joined Georgia Tech in July 2013. Dr. Sun’s research encompasses combustion simulation, combustion kinetics, and plasma/ozone assisted combustion. He develops new numerical algorithms to accelerate large scale CFD simulations using predictive kinetic models. His work includes plasma/ozone assisted combustion systems that enable combustion under extreme conditions. Dr. Sun has developed a high pressure shock tube with unique capabilities that allow the investigation of combustion kinetics for future power generation systems. He collaborates with the Strategic Energy Institute and the Ben T. Zinn Combustion Laboratory, focusing on propulsion, combustion, and multidisciplinary research areas related to sustainable transportation and energy systems.
