Biography

Wenyuan Li is an Assistant Professor in Mathematics at USC Dornsife. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Northwestern University in June 2023. His research encompasses various areas, particularly focusing on symplectic contact topology and microlocal sheaf theory. He is deeply involved in studying cohomological categorical invariants, Lagrangian and Legendrian submanifolds, as well as the interplay between symplectic contact manifolds and microlocal theory of sheaves. His interests also extend to topics such as generating functions, Floer theory, and the connections between symplectic/contact invariants, cluster algebras, mirror symmetry, and noncommutative geometry. Wenyuan is dedicated to advancing the understanding of these mathematical concepts through research and education.
