Professor Dr. Whitney Stevens

Biography

Whitney Stevens, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine (Allergy Immunology) and the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate and master's degrees at Johns Hopkins University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in 2002. She then earned her MD and PhD in Microbiology/Immunology from the University of Virginia in 2008 and 2010, respectively. Dr. Stevens completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University, followed by a Fellowship in Allergy Immunology. Her research focuses on understanding allergic drug reactions and the management of conditions such as Aspirin Exacerbated Respiratory Disease (AERD) and chronic rhinosinusitis. She has published numerous articles and has been invited to present her work at various conferences. In clinical practice, Dr. Stevens specializes in evaluating and managing drug allergies, particularly in oncology patients who experience allergic reactions to chemotherapy. Her clinical interests also include chronic sinus disease, asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergies, urticaria, angioedema, and anaphylaxis.
