Biography

Wickliffe W. Shreve II is a Senior Lecturing Fellow at Duke University's Goodson Law Library, having joined in September 2015. He earned his J.D. from Tulane University Law School in 2008 and later obtained an M.S.L.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015. Wick held the position of Contributing Editor for the Journal of Law and Sexuality and served as Research Editor for the Tulane Law Review. With an A.B. in Psychology and English Literature, with Honors in Poetry Composition from Brown University, he combines expertise in various fields. Before his tenure at Duke, Wick practiced law in New York City, focusing on Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) law. At Duke, he co-teaches courses such as Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing, and Research Methods in Administrative Law. He also coordinates the New Titles program and collaborates with the Center for Sports Law and Policy. Wick is an active member of the American Association of Law Libraries and the New York State Bar. His research interests encompass international criminal law, human rights law, and the interplay between law, gender, and society.
