Biography

Professor Wiepke Cahn is a research psychiatrist at the University Medical Center Utrecht, where he has been since 1996. He obtained his PhD in 2003 with a thesis on 'brain morphology early course of schizophrenia'. He has led several multicenter research projects as the chief psychiatrist of the schizophrenia program at UMC Utrecht and has also managed the Utrecht Youth Cohort project. He has co-authored over 300 papers and book chapters and serves as the chief editor for textbooks on 'schizophrenia spectrum disorders' and 'lifestyle psychiatry'. In addition to his academic roles, he is involved in treating patients and their families with psychiatric issues.
