Dr. Wilailak Chanklin

Biography

Wilailak Chanklin is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of New Brunswick. His academic journey began at Burapha University in Thailand, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He then pursued further education at Chulalongkorn University, specializing in Petrochemical Technology, before completing his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the University of New Brunswick. His research interests encompass bio-composite materials and polymer nanocomposites, focusing on enhancing electrical conductivity and maintaining mechanical integrity for applications in energy storage technologies. In addition to his research, Wilailak is passionate about teaching and has developed innovative pedagogical methods to help students grasp complex engineering concepts. He believes in equipping his students with problem-solving skills to tackle engineering challenges independently and encourages them to engage with the real-world applications of chemical engineering. His commitment to education is reflected in his active involvement in tutoring and mentoring students, fostering a supportive academic environment.
