Dr. William Adams

Biography

William G. Adams, MD is a Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, specializing in Pediatrics, particularly in General Pediatrics. He holds an MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and a BA from Harvard University. He currently serves as the Director of the BU-CTSI Clinical Research Informatics and is an expert in medical informatics and pediatric healthcare. Over the past decades, Dr. Adams has focused his research on developing and evaluating information technology solutions aimed at improving healthcare quality for children and families. His research areas include child health electronic health records (EHR), patient-centered clinical data warehousing, and quality improvement in health disparities research. He has significant experience in software development, including EHR programming and management of large clinical datasets for quality reporting research. Dr. Adams strives to create and evaluate integrated health information systems that are user-friendly and effective. He is also a member of the Boston University Evans Center for Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research and has been involved in various funded research projects addressing crucial pediatric health issues.
