William G. Dunphy is the Grace C. Steele Professor of Biology at the California Institute of Technology. He completed his undergraduate degree at Harvard College in 1980 and earned his Ph.D. at Stanford University in 1985. Dunphy began his academic career as an Assistant Professor at Caltech from 1989 to 1995, was promoted to Associate Professor in 1995, and became a full Professor in 2001. His research primarily focuses on cell cycle checkpoints, DNA replication, and the preservation of genomic integrity.
