Dr. William Forbath

Biography

William Forbath is a distinguished legal historian and the Lloyd M. Bentsen Chair at the University of Texas at Austin's School of Law. He is recognized as a leading expert in constitutional law, particularly in the areas of social economic rights and legal history. Forbath has authored several significant works, including 'Law Shaping American Labor Movement' (1991) and 'Social Economic Rights American Grain' (2009), alongside numerous articles published in prestigious journals such as the Yale Law Journal and the Harvard Law Review. His scholarly interests extend to the interplay of social movements and courts, particularly in the context of South Africa.
