Biography

Dr. Goodyer is a physician scientist specializing in Pediatric Cardiology Electrophysiology. He graduated from McGill University (Montreal, Canada) with a BSc in Biology before completing graduate studies at Stanford University's Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP). He then completed his residency training in Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital and returned to Stanford for his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology, with an advanced fellowship in Pediatric Electrophysiology. Additionally, he performed a postdoctoral fellowship in Sean Wu's laboratory at the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute, where he developed a comprehensive single-cell gene atlas of the entire murine cardiac conduction system (CCS) and pioneered the generation of optical imaging agents for real-time visualization of the CCS to prevent accidental surgical damage during heart surgeries. His lab focuses on basic science advances aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. His clinical focus includes Pediatric Electrophysiology, Inherited Arrhythmias, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
