Dr. William Jones

Biography

William Schuyler Jones is a Professor in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Population Health Sciences at Duke University. He is also a member of the Duke Clinical Research Institute. As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Jones specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease and performs various procedures at the Duke Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. He has served as the Medical Director of the cath lab since 2016. Dr. Jones collaborates with cardiothoracic surgeons during Heart Team meetings to address complex cardiovascular issues in a multidisciplinary setting. His research focuses on clinical trials related to coronary and peripheral artery diseases, examining disparities in access to care for patients with peripheral artery disease, and designing pragmatic clinical trials aimed at improving treatment outcomes. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Duke University and has been involved in numerous multicenter clinical trials, contributing significantly to the evidence base in the field of cardiovascular medicine.
