Biography

I am a Professor of Applied Quantitative Analysis in the Department of Computing at Imperial College London. My broad area of research interest is the application of mathematical modelling techniques to real-life systems. Specific areas of interest include limited modelling, optimisation, and parallel queueing systems, particularly split-merge fork-join systems. I also focus on modelling storage systems and stochastic modelling in sports and healthcare systems. Furthermore, I research resource allocation control in cloud-computing environments and numerical solutions to semi-Markov models, along with SLA specification and compliance prediction monitoring. I have presented my research in various venues and have a significant background in using stochastic models in computing. I am also extensively involved in cryptocurrency and blockchain research, with numerous ongoing projects and a robust portfolio of past research grants.
