Biography

William Sikov graduated from Brown University in 1978 and earned his MD from Yale University School of Medicine in 1982. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh in 1985 and a fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at New England Medical Center in 1989. He is a medical oncologist based at the Breast Health Center of Women and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, specializing in the treatment of breast cancer and the design and conduct of clinical research trials related to the diagnosis and management of early stage to advanced breast cancer. Sikov is an elected Fellow of the American College of Physicians since 2011. His research includes the article 'Impact of addition of carboplatin and/or bevacizumab to neoadjuvant weekly paclitaxel followed by dose-dense doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide on pathologic complete response rates in Stage II-III triple-negative breast cancer: CALGB 40603', which was selected as 'Best JCO 2015'.
