Biography

William R. Smith is a University Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Guelph. His research focuses on the development and application of molecular-level simulation algorithms for predicting macroscopic thermodynamic transport properties of matter. Smith's work combines computer simulation with mathematical modeling to understand phenomena in physics, chemistry, biology, and chemical engineering.
