William Wallace is an Honorary Professor in the Department of Pathology with extensive expertise in the field of lung diseases, especially related to clinical practice and diagnostic cardiothoracic pathology. His research interests are deeply rooted in understanding lung injury and remodeling, and he has established collaborative links with prominent figures in the field, including Professor Sarah Howie, who leads the Interstitial Lung Disease Clinic, and Dr. Nik Hirani. Wallace's research encompasses the molecular aspects of lung cancer, focusing on biomarker expression and employing modern imaging studies to better understand vascular cardiac valve disease.
