Dr. Willow Bay

Biography

Willow Bay serves as the Dean of the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, where she leads approximately 300 faculty and staff and oversees 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Under her leadership since 2017, USC Annenberg has expanded its curricula and launched innovative programs focused on digital communication and media. Bay has elevated the school's research portfolio, significantly increasing research funding and diversifying financial resources for faculty chairs and student scholarships. She has established initiatives such as Student Success Emergency Aid Funds that have benefited 1,500 students. Prior to her deanship, Bay was the director of the USC Annenberg School of Journalism and has extensive experience in broadcast journalism, having worked with major networks like ABC and CNN. Bay's work has received numerous accolades, including awards from the Los Angeles Press Club and DEG: Digital Entertainment Group.
