Dr. Winston Hill

Biography

Winston Hill received his B.A. from Harvard in 2012 and his Ph.D. from Yale in 2021, with a focus on early modern Britain, imperial governance, and queenship history. He also holds an M.A. in curriculum instruction from the University of Connecticut, expected in 2024. Currently, he teaches a course titled 'Women Ruled' and coordinates a departmental seminar on queens regnant in world history. Additionally, he gives lectures on England's early modern empire. Dr. Hill is passionate about teaching history at the high school level and engages with both students and faculty in discussions about history education and academic history. His research interests encompass early modern Britain, colonial America, empires, and the political dynamics of war and society.
