Dr. Wlodek Proskurowski

Biography

Wlodek Proskurowski is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Southern California. His academic career began with tenure track appointments at the USC starting in 1978. Proskurowski received his Ph.D. in Numerical Analysis from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, in January 1976. His research interests primarily include numerical analysis, scientific computation, and applied mathematics, highlighting his expertise in these fields. He has also contributed to the academic community through editorial roles, including serving on the Editorial Board of Numerical Linear Algebra from 1990 to 1996. Throughout his career, Proskurowski has dedicated himself to education and research in mathematics, influencing many students and professionals in the field.
