Dr. Wojciech Zbijewski

Biography

Wojciech B. Zbijewski is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. His research focuses on improving quantitative diagnostic imaging, particularly using X-ray modalities such as radiography, tomosynthesis, and computed tomography (CT). His laboratory conducts advanced computer modeling and benchtop experiments to optimize imaging systems and algorithms for quantitative applications, particularly in orthopedics and pulmonology. His interests also include computational techniques for extracting diagnostic information from image data, radiomics, and shape analysis. Zbijewski received his master's degree in physics from the University of Warsaw, Poland, and his doctorate in Medical Imaging from the University of Utrecht, Netherlands, in 2006.
