Biography

Wolfgang Kellerer is a full professor at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), where he focuses on communication networks as critical infrastructure for the future Internet. His research interests include flexible and dynamic networking, Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Virtualization, and wireless network resource management. Professor Kellerer received his PhD from TUM in 2002 after completing his studies in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. He has conducted research visits at Stanford University and has served as the head of the research department of wireless communication networking at NTT DOCOMO’s European research institute. He has been a professor at TUM since July 2012 and is also an adjunct professor in the Department of Informatics. Kellerer is a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of the Scientific Working Group on Regulatory Issues for the Federal Network Agency in Germany. He has received several awards for his contributions to the field, including the ERC Consolidator Grant for his project on quantifying flexibility in communication networks.
