Dr. Won Oh received his dental degree from Chonbuk National University, South Korea in 1988 and completed a specialty certificate in Prosthodontics along with a Master's Degree from the University of Minnesota in 2000. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Board Certified Prosthodontist as well as a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Michigan, Dr. Oh obtained a specialty certificate in Maxillofacial Prosthetics from UCLA in 2005. He has extensive teaching experience, instructing both predoctoral students in the Comprehensive Care Clinic and graduate students in the Prosthodontics Specialty Clinic. Dr. Oh serves as the course director for Advanced Removable Prosthodontics at both predoctoral and graduate levels and lectures on topics such as ceramics and bonded restorations. His research interests focus on prosthodontics, developing new protocols for prosthodontic procedures, characterizing dental ceramics and resin composites, and the interaction of dental implants with color. Dr. Oh has lectured nationally and internationally on prosthodontics and implant dentistry and is the primary author of 70 articles published in peer-reviewed prosthodontic journals. Additionally, he maintains a specialty practice limited to Prosthodontics at the Dental Faculty Associates Clinic at the University of Michigan.
