Won Jae Huh completed his medical education at Seoul National University in South Korea. He pursued Ph.D. training in Developmental Biology at Washington University in St. Louis, where his thesis work focused on transcriptional regulation in gastric chief cell differentiation. His current research involves exploring cellular changes in pre-cancerous stomach lesions and mucosal injuries, as well as investigating the role of testosterone in regulating epidermal growth factor receptor protein levels in the liver, contributing to differences in liver diseases between men and women. Dr. Huh's goal is to understand the signaling pathways that regulate tissue regeneration and early tumorigenesis, with an aim to discover new therapeutics to facilitate regeneration and prevent tumor formation.
