Biography

Wonwoo Lee is an Adjunct Practice Instructor at the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan, specializing in urban and regional planning with a focus on commercial real estate and city planning. He serves as the Chief Real Estate Officer for Oxford Companies, a full-scale real estate services group managing $500 million in assets in the greater Ann Arbor region. In addition, he is the Chairperson of the City of Ann Arbor’s Planning Commission, where he plays a key role in reviewing and applying the unified development code and approving development proposals. Lee has been recognized for his contributions to the business community, having been named one of Crain’s Detroit’s Forty Under 40 in 2023. He has significant experience in real estate transactions, completing over half a billion dollars in commercial leasing and investment sales, and was awarded the CoStar Power Broker award as the top office leasing broker in the Detroit region for 2020-2021. He has also been involved in notable transactions, including one of the largest in Q2 2024. Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan, along with a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development and an Executive Education Certificate in Negotiations from Harvard Business School.
