Biography

Wuwei Feng is a board-certified vascular neurologist and physician-scientist specializing in stroke and vascular neurology. He serves as the Chief of the Division of Stroke & Vascular Neurology and Medical Director of the Duke Comprehensive Stroke Center. With extensive research portfolios, Wuwei focuses on developing imaging biomarkers for predicting post-stroke motor outcomes and leveraging non-invasive brain stimulation tools such as transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and vagus nerve stimulation. His research is actively funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA). He currently leads an NIH-funded $8.9 million study called TRANSPORT 2 aimed at post-stroke motor recovery. Wuwei has published over 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts and has served as an associate editor for Translational Stroke Research. His accolades include prestigious awards such as the Rehabilitation Award from the AHA/ASA and the Franz Gerstenbrand Award from the World Federation for Neurorehabilitation.
