Biography

X.Y.'s research uses large-scale computational experiments in mathematical geometry to deconstruct operational principles of modern AI and build productivity-enhancing tools. He co-discovered the now-widely-studied Neural Collapse phenomenon in deep neural network training and co-invented the Survey Descent method in nonsmooth optimization.
