Biography

Xanthia Tucker, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Internal Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She provides primary care to both adult and pediatric patients and has a keen focus on women's health, reproductive health, narrative medicine, and medical education. Her current research addresses the incorporation of family planning and complex contraception into primary care. Additionally, her clinical interests encompass family planning, peripartum medicine, women's health, adolescent health, and gender-affirming care. Dr. Tucker earned her medical degree from the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago and completed her bachelor’s degree at Harvard University. A resident at the University of Michigan, she served as chief resident in a combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics program. Dr. Tucker is a member of the Society of General Internal Medicine, the Society of Family Planning, and the Reproductive Health Access Project.
