Biography

Xaviar Jones is a PGY-2 resident in the Yale Internal Medicine Traditional Residency Program. He previously completed his MD summa cum laude from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina. Xaviar has also undergone postdoctoral research training at the Smidt Heart Institute, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he focused on translating non-coding RNA therapeutics for cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular diseases, including systemic sclerosis and heart failure. His research interests expanded to include investigations into cardiac inflammation and myocarditis, leading to significant discoveries involving novel mechanisms of RNA therapeutics. His work has attracted funding from the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine and the Department of Defense. Xaviar aims to bridge the gap between clinical practice and translational research in cardiac inflammation and heart failure to enhance patient care and improve outcomes.
