Biography

Xavier Maldague, an engineer and Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Laval University, Quebec, Canada. He has trained 50 graduate students (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) and has contributed to over 400 publications. His research interests include infrared thermography, non-destructive evaluation techniques, and digital vision systems for industrial inspection. He is an honorary fellow of the Indian Society Nondestructive Testing, as well as a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Engineering, the Canadian Institute for Non-Destructive Evaluation, and the American Society NonDestructive Testing. In 2019, he received an honorary doctorate in infrared thermography from the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
