Biography

Xavier M. Tricoche is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Purdue University. He joined the department in Fall 2007 and is a member of the Computer Graphics Visualization group. His research aims to create new methods for scalable processing and interactive visual analysis of large datasets. His main research interests include fluid dynamics, granular materials, orbital mechanics, structural analysis of vector and tensor fields, topology, dynamical systems, medical image analysis, high-performance computing, and computer graphics. Before his role at Purdue, Dr. Tricoche taught at the University of Utah and the University of Kaiserslautern. He received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany in 2002, an MSc in Applied Mathematics from Universite Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, France in 1998, and an Engineering Degree in Computer Science from ENSIMAG in Grenoble, France in 1998. Dr. Tricoche has published several significant papers in the field of visualization and computational science, contributing to advancements in understanding and analyzing complex structures and systems.
