Professor Dr. Xenia Miscouridou

Biography

Xenia Miscouridou is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College London. She is also a member of the Imperial-X initiative. Her main research interests lie in the broad area of Bayesian statistical machine learning, where she aims to build methods that combine the strengths of statistics and computation to address scientific questions with real-life impacts. Her research focuses on statistical network and graph modeling, Bayesian nonparametrics, stochastic process modeling, and deep generative models. Xenia enjoys working in various areas including deep learning, infectious disease modeling, and Covid-19 research. She is also interested in branching processes and is open to mentoring new PhD students. Her dedication to advancing research in these fields makes her a valuable contributor to the academic community.
