Dr. Xia Li

Biography

Xia Li is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at Concordia University, where he holds a Research Chair position focused on High Energy Rechargeable Batteries. He has published extensively in the field of energy storage, particularly in relation to Li-ion and Li-sulfur battery technologies, and his research interests encompass energy storage conversion, nanomaterials, and solid-state batteries. Dr. Li completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Materials Engineering at Western University in Canada, following his master's degree in Material Physics and Chemistry from Nankai University in China, and a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology. He is also involved with the Concordia Collaborative Centre for Energy Transition as an Associate Director. Dr. Li is dedicated to fostering advancements in battery technologies and focuses on sustainable energy solutions, incorporating innovative techniques such as synchrotron radiation and in-situ characterization methods into his research.
