Biography

Xiaodong Wang is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University. Throughout his career, Wang has received various prestigious awards, including the NSF CAREER Award in 1999 and the IEEE Communications Society Information Theory Society Joint Paper Award in 2001. His research interests also extend to smart electric energy systems, cybersecurity, quantum communications, quantum computing, sensor systems, and sustainable computing.
