Biography

Xiaohong Huang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance and Accounting at the University of Twente. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University in China in 1999, majoring in English Science Technology. In 2000, she moved to the Netherlands to join the International Business Administration program at Erasmus University. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in IBA in 2003, she pursued her Master's degree in Finance. She participated in an exchange program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2004 and graduated cum laude with a Master of Science degree in Business Administration, specializing in Finance and Investment. In 2010, she obtained her PhD in Finance under the supervision of Professors Ronald Mahieu and Marno Verbeek at Erasmus University. Her research and teaching interests include pension contract design, pension fund investment, emerging market corporate finance, institutional investments, and Fintech. She is also involved in cross-disciplinary studies and has a strong expertise in Economics, Econometrics, and Finance.
