Biography

Xiaolin Wang is an Associate Professor at the Australian National University. His academic journey began in 2013 when he embarked on an overseas venture to pursue a PhD degree at ANU. After completing his doctoral studies, he joined ANU in 2018 as an education-focused lecturer. He leads a research group that focuses on carbon capture storage, gas hydrate sciences, phase change thermal storage, thermal management, and green buildings. Over the years, he has been awarded significant research funding, including $2M for a hydrogen storage project funded by ARENA commercialization. He is also the recipient of several awards, including the ANU Vice Chancellor's Award for Early Career Academics and the AIRAH Excellence in HVAC&R Research Award. He currently holds the position of Sub-Dean of Student Experience at the College. His research interests include novel methods for hydrogen storage, enhancements in carbon capture storage, thermal energy storage using phase change materials, and innovative approaches to green buildings and renewable energy systems.
