Biography

Prior to joining the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Xiaotang Yang was a postdoctoral fellow at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. Concurrently, he held a visiting scholar appointment in the Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan. He received his PhD in Industrial Systems Engineering from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. His research interests focus on the intersection of innovative technologies and new business models, particularly in relation to on-demand service platforms, smart mobility solutions, the digital economy, and healthcare systems.
