Dr. Xiaoyang Cheng

Biography

Xiaoyang Cheng is a Research Scientist at Yale University focusing on the field of neurology. He has an extensive academic background with a PhD in Physiology & Biophysics from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, earned in 2006. Prior to that, he completed his MS in Pharmacology and BS in Pharmacology at China Pharmaceutical University in 1997 and 1994, respectively. Cheng has contributed significantly to the field through numerous publications and has collaborated frequently with several experts in his domain. His research interests revolve around neural regeneration and the underlying physiological mechanisms. He has held a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, which has honed his research expertise in neurology, particularly in the contexts of physiology and biochemistry. Cheng aims to advance the understanding of neural function and repair following injury, making strides in both basic and applied research in neuroscience.
