Biography

Xiaoyang Wang is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at UNSW. He received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in Computer Science from Northeastern University, China, and earned his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from UNSW. His research interests include database systems with a special focus on query processing, data mining for large-scale graphs, and spatial streaming data. He is also involved in data-driven machine learning and conducts analysis of smart contracts in blockchain technology, along with financial network analysis in the fintech sector. Dr. Wang is currently recruiting self-motivated PhD students and encourages current undergraduate and master's students at UNSW to connect with him regarding research degrees and projects.
