Biography

Xichen is an Assistant Professor in Operations Supply Chain Management at the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management, Tilburg School of Economics and Management. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration focused on Operations Supply Chain Management from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Xichen also has a Master of Arts in Business Administration from Kobe University in Japan and a Bachelor of Engineering from Tianjin University of Technology in China. His research interests lie at the intersection of service and sustainable operations, emphasizing the alignment of companies' economic and environmental goals with their industrial endeavors. His work applies a wide range of methodological skills, including game theory, econometrics, empirically grounded analytics, system dynamics modeling, qualitative meta-analysis, and grounded theory. Xichen is devoted to teaching and is passionate about developing the next generation of business leaders. He has taught Operations Management at Mays Business School and currently teaches Supply Chain Design and Planning, as well as Data-Driven Design Approaches in SCM at Tilburg University.
