Biography

Xin (Sherry) Chen is a Lecturer in Law and the Associate Director of Collection Strategy at Biddle Law Library, Penn Carey Law. In her role, she is responsible for the development, maintenance, and stewardship of the Law Library’s collection across various jurisdictions and formats. She coordinates with departments within the Law Library to conduct collection evaluation and analysis on a continuing basis, while also planning and managing collection-related projects. Before joining Biddle Law Library in January 2023, Chen served as a Legal Information Librarian and Lecturer in Law at Boston College Law Library for ten years. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science in Library and Information Science, a Master of Science in Risk Management and Insurance from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Shanghai International Studies University in China. She is a member (inactive) of the New York State Bar.
