Biography

Xin Wen is a senior researcher in the Renewable Energy Systems (RES) group at the University of Geneva, where he focuses on application development of advanced uncertainty modeling methods to improve long-range energy projections for European countries. His work is part of a project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation entitled 'Accuracy.' With a strong background in statistical analysis and stochastic optimization, he specializes in making generation scheduling decisions within energy communities under conditions of renewable energy uncertainty. Xin Wen holds a PhD from École Centrale de Lille, awarded in December 2020. Since January 2021, he has played an active role in teaching the course 'Energy, Climate, Environment.'
