Biography

Xinxin Xiao is an academic specializing in the field of Electrochemistry, with a particular focus on enzymatic bioelectrochemistry, electrocatalysis, and electroanalysis. She obtained her PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of Limerick in Ireland in January 2019. Following her doctoral studies, she spent four years as a postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). In October 2022, she joined Aalborg University (AAU), where she established her own independent research group. Her research aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, aiming to contribute to global efforts in energy, health, and environmental issues. Over the years, she has received several accolades including the Irish Research Council Postgraduate Scholarship, the H.C. Ørsted/Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Fellowship, and the Kathleen Lonsdale Chemistry Prize awarded by the Royal Irish Academy. Xinxin has also been recognized with travel awards from the International Electrochemical Society for her contributions as a Young Electrochemist.
