Biography

Xize Wang is an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS), specifically within the Department of Real Estate. His research interests are centered on identifying evidence-based, innovative policy tools to promote healthier and more sustainable urban environments, with a particular focus on urban environmental health and sustainable mobility. His work has been published in leading journals such as Urban Studies and Transportation Research Part D, where he examines the theoretical and empirical connections between household-scale urban environments and mental health. He also investigates the impact of demographic factors on urban health and the shaping of sustainable transport policy. Wang is currently an editorial board member for the Journal of Urban Health and Transportation Research Part D. Prior to joining NUS, he was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. He holds a Ph.D. in Urban Planning and Development from the University of Southern California and has a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Minnesota. He received his Bachelor's degrees in Urban Planning and Economics from Peking University, where he was a recipient of China’s National Scholarship.
