Biography

Xu Jiang is an Associate Professor at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, specializing in Business Administration. He obtained his Bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China and his PhD from the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining Duke, he was an assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business. Professor Jiang's research focuses on banking regulation, optimal disclosure rules, and the economic consequences of accounting standards. His work has been published in prestigious journals including the Journal of Accounting Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Economic Theory, Management Science, and Accounting Review. His teaching contributions have been recognized with the 2016 Master of Management Studies Excellence in Teaching Award. Additionally, he has received the Journal of Accounting Research Excellence Reviewing Award in 2021, 2023, and the Referee of the Year Award in 2024. He also serves on the editorial advisory and review board for the Accounting Review.
